Clogs and Tulips is open to guest posts, interviews, and Q&As! To contribute, please read the instructions below:

Guest Posts:
These must be about the Dutch, moving to the Netherlands, travel to/from/within the Netherlands, learning the Dutch language, expat tips, Dutch food, Dutch holidays, Dutch culture, cycling, expat living, raising/having children in the Netherlands, living with a Dutchie... basically anything that Clogs and Tulips readers can use.

Before pitching a guest post, please read some of the blog's most recent or popular posts to get an idea of what readers want. You can also read previous guest posts.

Pitches should be sent to and include the following:
  • include the word "pitch" and the title of your pitch in the subject line of your email
  • blog title
  • blog topic
  • estimated wordcount
  • how this post will benefit readers
  • a brief outline of what you plan to cover in the post
  • a bit about yourself and why you are writing this post
Once a pitch has been accepted, write the post accordingly and email it back to along with a photo that you have taken or that you have permission/rights to use. All posts are subject to editing.

Clogs and Tulips has an ongoing interview series called Tiptoe Through the Tulips. These are interviews with expats living in the Netherlands and Dutch expats living around the world. This is ongoing, meaning you can submit anytime, no matter how long it's been since the last interview was published!

Simply send an email to with "Tiptoe Through the Tulips Interview" in the subject line and I will email you back with a list of 10 questions concerning your life as an expat.

Feel free to include up to three photos with your interview.

For an idea of what a Tiptoe Through the Tulips interview entails, scour the blog for past interviews.

Have a question about life in the Netherlands? Clogs and Tulips answers them as best as possible with its Cloggie Queries series.

Past queries have included immigration to the Netherlands, Dutch specialty shops, IVF treatments in Amsterdam, children's vaccinations in the Netherlands, and more.

Check past queries in case your question has already been answered. If it hasn't or you'd like more detail, send your question to with your permission for me to use the question and my answer on the blog (please let me know if you'd like me to include your name, sign you as anonymous or if you'd like to make up a cute little Dear-Abby-esque name for yourself).
